Latin Mass at Effingham on First Sunday of the month. Next one Sunday 5th October @ Noon

After much struggles I have finally stopped going to the SSPX masses. I believe they have lost their way and are caving into the woke Vatican 2 agenda. The other worry is they no longer conditionally re-ordain priests who come from the Novos Ordo, which makes some masses doubtful now.

I now go to a Sedevacantist Mass which takes place at the Drift golf club, in Effingham. The priest is Fr Aedan Gilchrist. There are confessions from 11.15am, followed by Old Rite Mass at noon. After mass there are teas and coffees. In the golf club downstairs there are wonderful sandwiches and snacks for sale , which you can eat in or outside.

Live every day as though it were your last! It might be!

One certainty in life is that no one knows the exact hour, day, month or year when one will die. So it's very important to be in a state of grace at death. Therefore - at the end of each day it's important to examine one's conscience and make a sincere act of contrition for any sins committed that day, and for past sins

The Catholic Church teaches that when one dies, one's soul is judged immediately - and that soul either goes to Hell, Purgatory or Heaven. If you die with unforgiven mortal sins - the destination is Hell - for eternity. If one dies with venial - less serious sins - one goes to Purgatory - to be purged of those sins - in order to enter Heaven. A soul could spend a short or long time in Purgatory. A few souls go straight to Heaven for eternity.

Think about it - life on earth is but a pin prick of what's to come.

No one knows when one will die - you could be in a car crash - be shot by a madman in the woods - get a sudden incurable illness. We simply don't know. So be prepared for death - at all times.

If you need to get to confession, try to find  a validly ordained Catholic priest ( that is - a priest ordained in the pre Vatican 2 rite). If there are no valid priests in your area - make a perfect act of contrition. This is enough to get forgiven, but if a valid priest becomes available, then go to confession.

August Bank Holiday pilgrimage from Wells Cathedral to Glastonbury Abbey 28th August

ukmasses.com   Has details of the pilgrimage on Monday 28th August. It’s free. The only cost is £7.50, which covers entry to Glastonbury Abbey

The walk starts from Wells Cathedral at 10am and finishes at 3pm at Glastonbury Abbey. Mass will be said by Father Morgan in the Lady Chapel at the abbey.

The website has a map and places where you can join en-route.

The masses are in Latin and follow the pre 1960 rite.

The Masses do not mention so called Pope Francis, as it is thought by many that he’s a heretic.

No need to book, just turn up!

The website also gives details of all the pre 1960 Latin masses in the UK, which are growing. They are not in communion with the occupant in the Vatican. All the priests are properly ordained in the proper rite, NOT the dubious rite which Paul 6th intruoduced in around 1969.

See you there
